Travels and Music 2016

Summer in the Mediterranean and Elgar Concerto

Travels and Music! It has been a long time since the last post, but life has been busy.  I spent a great summer with the Lincoln Center Stage quintet traveling the Mediterranean and performing over 300 concerts to wonderful audiences.  I visited the great historical landmarks and famous cities in Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Turkey, Croatia, Monaco, Albania and Montenegro and explored the countryside of Mallorca on a red Vespa. In August I finished my tour with LCS and returned to the US for a little family time and a performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the wonderful Gettysburg Chamber Orchestra directed by Norman Nunamaker, a great conductor and a musical influence of mine since childhood.

Symphoniacs Album Release and Promo Tour

Since September I have been spending a large amount of my time in Germany working with Symphoniacs, a classical meets electronic crossover project based in Berlin.  Our album released recently, and we have had some exciting performances. In late September we filmed for the german tv show Ein Herbsttag in Wien with Beatrice Egli. It featured a performance of Prayer in C in the beautiful Museum Quarter in Vienna. In October we traveled to Dortmund to tape our tune Levels and a little surprise collaboration with Andreas Gabalier for Florian Silbereisen’s show “Schlagerbooom.” Next, we performed at the “Helene Fischer Show 2016” in Düsseldorf for about 20,000 people. This show will air on December 25, 2016.

The New Year with Symphoniacs

On December 31st we will perform the countdown to the New Year in Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate to about 700,000 people. It is going to be an amazing experience, and I hope you will all tune in.

Check back for Symphoniacs tour dates here.

More coming soon and I wish everyone happy holidays, travels and music!
